Dallas Cowboys assistant Garrett to talk with Rams
January 13
Dallas Morning News
"Bypassed by Denver and still under consideration in Detroit, Cowboys assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Jason Garrett will interview with St. Louis this week about its coaching vacancy, according to two sources.
The meeting is expected to take place in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Garrett is in the running with Jim Haslett, who finished as the Rams' interim coach in 2008, Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.
St. Louis previously received permission to speak with Cowboys wide receivers coach Ray Sherman, but that interview has not taken place.
Rams general manager Billy Devaney interviewed Garrett last year when he was Atlanta's assistant general manager.
The Rams, who have missed the playoffs the last five years, finished 2-14 in 2008. One of their wins came against the Cowboys."
