Haynesworth confident he'll be ready for playoffs

"Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth said Friday he should return from his knee injury in time for the playoffs, echoing Coach Jeff Fisher's comments earlier this week.
"That's what I'm hoping for," Haynesworth said. "I'm definitely hoping soon. As long as everything keeps going smoothly, we'll be good."
He suffered a sprained knee in the closing minutes of last week's game at Houston and was declared out of the final two regular season games. The Titans have a first-round bye before playing in the Divisional round on Jan. 10 or 11 at LP Field.
The seventh-year pro has 75 tackles and a team-leading 8.5 sacks. He earned a spot in the Pro Bowl this week and is a candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Haynesworth said no timetable has been set for his return to practice, but being out of action for almost a month should not affect his stamina when he comes back.
"You're not going to get out of shape in two weeks, unless you go blow it out," he said. "I'm not doing that. I'll be fine.""
