McFadden: "I'm ready to go"
March 13
San Francisco Chronicle
"Raiders running back Darren McFadden is fully recovered from minor shoulder and ready to hit the weights when voluntary workouts start next week, he said Thursday.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine, ready to go," McFadden said. He was at team headquarters speaking to local schoolchildren about the virtues of drinking milk and staying fit. "I'm ready to get back on the field and get going again. People say (the offseason) is short but if you've just been chilling at home, it feels like it's been forever."
"I'm healthy again. It's a great thing and I'm very happy about it."
McFadden had his left shoulder scoped by his personal doctor in Arkansas shortly after the season ended. That came after struggling through his rookie season with two cases of turf toe, costing him three games and limiting him for roughly half the season.
Don't tell the kids, but for all the good milk does, it can't help turf toe.
"I can't say that it does," McFadden laughed."
