Stewart, Panthers win again

"Jonathan Stewart continued his strong rookie season for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
The running back from Oregon scored the go-ahead touchdown in the second quarter as the Panthers beat visiting Denver 30-10.
Stewart hit paydirt from two yards to lift Carolina (10-4) into a 17-10 lead.
Stewart finished with 52 yards on 16 carries.
Denver fell to 8-6.
• Pittsburgh went to Baltimore and pulled out another last-minute victory 13-9 in their AFC North showdown.
Linebacker Troy Polamalu from Winston, Or., had two tackles for the Steelers, who improved to 11-3.
Haloti Ngata, the defensive tackle from Oregon, had three tackles and two assists for Baltimore, which fell to 9-5.
Santonio Holmes caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger with 50 seconds remaining to give the Steelers the win.
• Seattle climbed to 3-11 with a 23-20 victory at St. Louis (2-12).
The Seahawks rallied with 10 points in the final 2:47 and got a winning, 27-yard field goal by Olindo Mare as time expired.
Former UO running back Maurice Morris ran for 86 yards on 15 carries for Seattle.
The Rams got 91 yards on the ground on 24 carries from ex-Oregon State star Steven Jackson. He scored on a 6-yard run and added 36 yards on four receptions.
• Cincinnati doubled its 2008 win total, knocking off Washington 20-13 at Cindy.
The Bengals (2-11-1) had three catches each from their ex-OSU receivers, T.J. Houshmandzadeh (for 19 yards) and Chad Johnson (33 yards).
The Redskins dropped to 7-7."
