L.A. Daily News
"Sunday's Pittsburgh-Arizona Super Bowl XLIII was the third-most watched TV show in history with an average of 95.4 million viewers, registering a 42.1 overnight Nielsen rating and 65 share, NBC reported Monday. In spite of a 35.3 rating and 63 share, Los Angeles didn't even crack the top 25 markets, led by Pittsburgh's 53.6/79. Phoenix was ninth at 47.5/80. The 1983 CBS series finale of "MASH" (106 million) and last year's Super Bowl XLII between the New England Patriots and New York Giants on Fox (97.5 million) are the two most-watched TV shows ever."
