It Chad To Be This Way

" It had to come to this, didn't it?
Any Jets fan worth his or her green-and-white salt would have told you this is the way this season and this story had to end.
One game, a packed Giants Stadium, playoff lives hanging in the balance and the Jets' worst nightmare on the other sideline - a healthy Chad Pennington seeking revenge.
In the midst of a collapse that would make Willie Randolph shake his head, the Jets enter Sunday's game with the season on the line and the boldest move in team history up for debate.
Yeah, this is the way it had to go for this tortured franchise.
"It sounds like a movie script," said guard Brandon Moore, who played with Pennington for five years. "For (Pennington), I know he's excited. He's been excited all year. He's playing really well. He's helped turn around that team. We should be, on the other end, licking our chops as far as the opportunity we have in front of us."
The Jets cut ties with Pennington late in the night of Aug. 6, in his Cleveland hotel room, telling him he was no longer wanted after eight years of service, and releasing him. Two days later he signed with Miami and one year after the team won one game, Pennington has the Dolphins at 10-5, needing only a victory Sunday to win the AFC East.
Pennington will speak to the Miami media today. Always classy, Pennington will not rip his old employer, but the competitor in Pennington surely would love to stick it to the Jets. "
