Scott Says: Was that DeAngelo or Marcus Allen?

"DeAngelo Williams' 56-yard cutback run for a touchdown - when he started left, then looked like he was going way right, then took a sharp left turn up the middle - was remarkable. Those with long NFL memories may recall the play it reminded me of most - Marcus Allen's 74-yard reverse-field touchdown scamper for Oakland in the 18th Super Bowl.
The Panthers got a really nice game from quarterback Jake Delhomme (253 yards), who needed one to keep defenses from cheating toward the line of scrimmage too much to stop Carolina's rushing attack. Delhomme had about three of those "oh-no-he-didn't-just-throw-that-oh-wait-it-went-for-30-yards" plays.
Panther safety Charles Godfrey still can't catch potential interceptions very well, but he sure can put a lick on people. He impressed Julius Peppers Sunday. Peppers said of the rookie: "He played like a veteran."
I believe Panther cornerback Chris Gamble tipped that interception six times before finally hauling it in - he looked like he was doing his own personal tip drill."
