Panthers' strength meets Bucs' strength

As we noted today in the newspaper and online, the Panthers rank second in the NFL with 19 rushing touchdowns, which is a team single-season record despite that fact that four games remain.
But the Carolina running game, especially near the goal-line, is preparing to face the NFL's stingiest red-zone run defense in Tampa Bay. The Bucs have allowed just one -- that's not a misprint -- rushing TD all season. That is by far the fewest ground TDs given up in the NFL. Pittsburgh is second with five rushing TDs allowed, and the league average per defense is 11.1. (Carolina's defense has given up 10).
In total run defense, the Bucs rank ninth and face a Carolina running attack that is seventh in rushing offense.
It should be a very tough, physical game on Monday night.
