Henry trade cost Dallas Cowboys more than you think

Too many of you don't understand there's a significant difference between an average player and a bad player.
Apparently, you think Anthony Henry is a bad player.
He's not.
It's not even close.
The Cowboys traded Henry, who started each of the last four years, for Jon Kitna, a player the Lions were probably going to release this off-season.
Henry could've helped the Cowboys in 16 games this year; Kitna might not even play. Actually, the Cowboys hope he never plays because it means something is wrong with Tony Romo.
What some of you have forgotten is that you can never have enough cornerbacks. You should've come to that conclusion last year, when the Cowboys dealt with injuries and suspensions that cost them Henry, Adam Jones and Terence Newman at various times.
With more teams using formations with three and four receivers, teams need more quality cornerbacks than ever.
You need at least five guys who can play. These days, Dallas has two and a possible third.
This is not to say Henry was flawless. Obviously, he wasn't.
But he's better than you think, and the Cowboys will miss him next season.
Yes, Orlando Scandrick is a promising young cornerback who zoomed up the depth chart last season. He might be ready to start. Might, though, is the obvious word.
Mike Jenkins did not have a good rookie season. Scandrick moved past him on the depth chart, and there were questions about his work ethic and attitude. There's no guarantee he's ready to start.
Let's not even talk about the other cornerbacks on the roster. See, even if the Cowboys had wanted to start Scandrick or Jenkins, they could've brought them along at their own pace and used Henry as a valuable backup, or they could've moved him to free safety.
Now, they don't have that option. They gave it up for a backup quarterback they hope never plays.
That just doesn't seem smart.
